3/5 Nice work by a local public health agency in CO (state which had legalized recreational cannabis) which developed a novel system to monitor marijuana-related ER visits in real time--other states should consider adopting it.

4/5 DYK: some patterns & methods of marijuana consumption may be more risky than others: CO monitoring data suggest that “marijuana tourists” and users of edible marijuana had more ER visits for cannabis side effects than CO residents and marijuana smokers, respectively.

Edibles are my preferred method of consumption. Never had an ER visit or any serious side effects. The worst that happened was I got a little too high once and felt a little queasy for a few hours. I laid down and it went away.
