With all respect, is there some medical evidence, beyond the WHO thinks it’s a good idea, to support 5 servings of fruit each day? Agreed better than filling up on candy, ice cream, chips, but its still a great deal of sugar. Am not convinced of the benign nature of fructose.

Dr. Rosen, Your concerns about overindulging are valid- however a serving of fruit is much less than most people think (a single banana can constitute 2-3 “servings” of fruit).
