Yesterday I had to give post confirmed exposure immunoglobulin to an infant. Never thought I’d see the day. This family struggled to find child care during the quarantine period. Many of my patients’ families wouldn’t have been able to do so.
The available data also suggest that a) Many/ most of the new measles cases are among unvaccinated individuals and b) states that have more liberal rules or enforcement regarding “opt outs” also have more unvaccinated residents.https://twitter.com/CDCDirector/status/1093868302349332481 …

Imagine if the Chief Nurse of Public Health was also designated as the National Nurse for Public Health and could mobilize the 4 million nurses in this country to educate & empower people. Imagine the possibilities of how we can address something like the measles outbreaks

I’d be willing to bet that most anti-vaxers were themselves vaccinated, so have never had these “childhood diseases”. I had all of them except pertussis, & they were all horrible. Would never do that to my kid.
