(1 of 2) In a recent tweet about my brother, my sentence was incorrectly transcribed from a speech I gave @CADCA today and for that I apologize. Let me be clear - I would NEVER use language that may contribute to stigma. Addiction is a chronic disease and NOT a moral failing.

It's a habitual bond. It can semi colon and double space to a lot of words, but you don't bias a professional service as a disease when you're using the word professionally wrong.

You're a grammatical disease in the field of addictions. You're trying to base off a concept that only doubles the medical model which places addiction as partial etiology. It's like adding spiritual to bio/psycho/social becouse you don't want bereft of joy in reason for visit.

So you're saying now that nicotine is not "pound for pound as addictive as heroin?" Because that was completely unsubstantiated and untrue.

Many with Chronic Illness+Intractable Pain also face harsh
#Stigma. Both groups should receive compassionate HC. Yet here we are. At least PWUD have options such as methadone + Bupe at stable doses. Chronic Pain Pts suffer frm forced tapers, abandonment+suicide. Pls help us too
