1/4 Good points frm @NYTopinion on an important topic, but
impact w unnecessary/untrue political swipes —> The U.S. Surgeon General’s office has been mum. So has the White House“-> A simple look at my tweets shows I’ve promoted HPV & other vaccines... https://nyti.ms/2RRZ83y

Measles is easily treated by VitA. 450-500 deaths / 180,000,000 pre-1960. The vaccine was a Johnny-come-lately Figure from a Harvard report, 2001. VitA studied in Cochrane report, here. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28282701 pic.twitter.com/Wpna6pjTWu

How do we do that? I literally spent 4 hours asking people to get a flu shot at Wal-Mart (that was my only job for the day) and not a single person said yes

1) Thanks for your efforts to promote flu vaccine. 2) Motivational interviewing/ appealing to your audience. Eg- “Would you say you’d do most anything to protect the kids in your life? DYK last year 80,000 died from flu, and most kids who died were unvaccinated?”

Trust is a gift. Once you have been down the road of bureaucratic bullshit, FDA failures, the fast track process, the damage control....you are now enlightened and knowledgeable to how the real world works. Betrayal is powerful, twice as shy & smarter. Wanna job at the FDA?
