I wish people with chronic (pain/illness) could get the Proper (care/prescribed medication) help/care they need. #suicideduetopain is not the answer. Help Oregon before it's too late!

Several contradictions noted. If opioid addiction is a chronic disease how does drugs cause it. Disease does not go away when addict quits using them. Also many of alternative treatments for pain are much more dangerous than opioids which are quite safe when used as directed.

it is a disease requiring maintenance medication or they keep abusing. The best out there is suboxone. Partial agonist, little if any euphoria and practically no potential for respiratory depression. I wish the surgeon general would comment on why the government hates suboxone

I had chronic pain and used opioids responsibly. At one point I still felt death was best option, so taking away pain meds will lead to more deaths. Taking MMJ now, best decision ever! #MMJ #LegalizeIt #cannabismed

How about banning doctor's from prescribing it outside of the hospital or emergency room.If Cannibas had been legal in 🇨🇦long ago I would have never accepted the precribed opiods after all pharma drugs failed to help my chronic pain,I wouldn't have went through hell.Opiods kill.

Doctor, The majority of people have multiple family members with substance abuse problems, including people they rarely see or they never met in family. Most of us take opiates sometime, but not all get addicted. I am a neurologist. something about he nucleus accumbus. genetic.
