Hi Carl- the picture caption describes Mr Potato Head “retiring” the pipe from his set (which had previously given kids the impression that smoking was okay). This was an important acknowledgment that we give children subtle clues about what is and is not ok/ safe.

...who told kids that all their friends were vaping. It is they who publish images and statement that make use by minors look common and even glamorous. (Also, kids have not smoked pipes for like a century. So that, like most tobacco control, was just a self-gratifying gesture.)
