We need a cultural shift in the way Americans talk about the opioid crisis. We can use the Surgeon General digital postcard to help us raise awareness, prevent addiction and prevent overdose deaths. #AscensionConvocation2018pic.twitter.com/vbmHc15Qwb

PLEASE STOP THIS NIAVE DIRECTION. Pain has been treated for decades with approved OPIATE ANALGESICS. As a surgeon general you should b ashamed of yourself for making flash cards. This is why no discussion is occurring for diagnosed CPP. We need meds not cards with directions. WTF

Where is the post card for those of us living in chronic pain that are being made to suffer more while you demonize the one drug that helps millions? Sure a SMALL percentage of people will have the genetic makeup that leads to addiction, but the vast majority don't. #FeelOurPain

We still need to treat pain from surgical procedures and not expect patients to go home and "tough it out." Patients suffer because doctors are afraid to prescribe opioids now. Unmanaged early post op pain escalates and causes delayed recover IMHO!!!!

For surgical patients there is safe pain medicine care paths and also prehabilitation opportunities. Helping patients plan for post surgery pain can go a long way with managing pain post-op. Far too little pain coaching and education is offered.

Wtf, why is this trykng to again blame pain medications? The CDC KNOWS its not the problem, why does this not say, HERKIN AND FENTANYL ATE DANGEROUS? Pain patients ARE NOT DYING from taking their MEDICATIONS, THEY ARE DYING FROM NOT TAKING THEIR MEDICATIONS!!!! #HumanRights
