The other “stigma” that needs to be talked about are legit pain patients (as myself w a SCI) who have been thru so much, finally find some quality of life w help of opioids, but the gov and some others see me as something other than a mom who just wants to live. It’s not right.
Thats why today, my office along w/ @samhsagov is releasing The Spotlight on Opioids. The #SGSpotlight provides a list of what you should look for in a treatment center. The spotlight also addressees stigma, which is one of our biggest barriers to solving public health problems.

That's good. Stigma is a big issue. People automatically assume especially now, that if you are taking pain medication you must be abusing them. That is not fair.

Is "stigma" the biggest barrier? I would expect the Trump - Pence dismantling of the "Affordable Care Act" - coverage of pre-existing conditions involves the health care and recovery for many, many Americans. Do better work that shows a solid commitment in this appointed work
