The SAFE Station program allows people 18 and older a safe place to go and ask for help with their addiction. A compassionate member of the Fire Division will conduct a brief medical and mental health screening and then transport the person to a treatment center.
Safe stations for drug addicts and optimal treatment for them...I get that. Why are CPP being abandoned? We should not be getting treated like we are. We are NOT dirty. We are NOT addicts. We are NOT less than. We hurt and we are the CPP.

I've heard about those programs. You can do the same with 911. They don't judge if post surgery vicodin withdrawal insomnia has you loopy. They'll give you a ride anyways.
