We have to remember addiction is a chronic illness, and should be treated as such. The road to recovery looks different for everyone but recovery IS possible #PrayForDemi

Additionally no one should be sent home like this without proper pain meds. This is my brother right now recovering from a copperhead bite. He never suffered addiction.pic.twitter.com/UoQIRi4bYH

Oh? What about all the disabled people & cancer patients who’s lives have been destroyed or lost b/c they couldn’t access pain treatment? Why do addicts deserve support but our “road to recovery” is constantly under attack by you & your contemporaries?

Chronicle illness isn't a choice. You chose to do heroin, meth, alcohol. Tell that to a 4 year old with leukemia that they are in the same group of people as drug addicts that kill themselves on purpose. What a joke.

Addiction has a genetic component. Most take hold as teenagers, via stealing medication or alcohol from the liquor cabinet. So, you're of the opinion that people should be ostracized bc of a decision made at 13? So we should judge you on choices you made at 13? 🤔

So when will we start requiring hospitals to keep and treat addicts? And when will Obamacare cover the cost of detox AND long term rehabilitation care? Addicts should get treatment like cancer patients do; the lifetime of the disease.

It truly is and she should be able to access dignified care and treatment BUT not at the cost of my children being denied dignified care and treatment for cp. That IS what is occurring. Please help us also. CPP have also been marginalized and shamed.

It seems like CPP is made to suffer. Due to mistakes and bad choices made by addicts. Addicts have many options. There’s 10 CPP to 1 drug addict. So we make 10CPP suffer? Isn’t that a bit backwards? I’m not gonna lie. This not about addiction and you know it.pic.twitter.com/8B701qjYe7

DANG Frosty, he said that? I'm saddened to hear Dr. Drew would deny your #victory in #overcoming #addiction. By the way, there's nothing "small" about being and #overcomer of #ChronicDisease. That's pretty "big" stuff. Thanks for sharing and congratulations! #inspiring
