Please take time to meet with the non-pharma-funded, unaffiliated patients who brought this to the community’s attention. We are woefully underrepresented by orgs like @AmDiabetesAssn. It is important our voices aren’t silenced. #Insulin4all

Why is identical insulin in Germany 90% (ninety %) cheaper than in the US? Because Germany has negotiations between industry and insurances/sickness funds and a controlling joint federal commission missing in the US? Important question by a physician, please answer.

Please also take the time to talk to @JDRF & @BeyondType1 for the very specific issues for those with T1D. Plus also with BT1 who are the only organization to tackle the unacceptably high diagnosis rate of people in DKA, leading to ICU or death

My offer still stands @Surgeon_General to meet with you anywhere, anytime to discuss life with type 1 diabetes and the stigma that so many of us face on a regular basis.

And please don’t compare Diabetics Type 1 or 2 with opioid addicts. Insulting. You make treatment available to addicts for free, and do nothing to control the outrageous cost of insulin these kids need to stay alive!

Actually we’d rather not be. It’s called advocacy & education.

Does anyone know if @AmDiabetesAssn really is in fact influenced by big pharma money as was suggested by @wthfilm documentary?

        Replying to @0pencode @Surgeon_General and

Absolutely they are. You'd think one of the largest diabetes orgs would be leading the charge on insulin pricing. They aren't because they take donations from pharma
