Regarding “reused content” demonetization. With how many gaming channels are effected by this I believe it’s a false positive associated with the background audio... Similar to copyright claims on the audio. The workaround I’m recommending is turning off in game music

Even simply using game footage can get you false copyright claims etc The system thinks anyone playing the same game is using the same content as far as I can see In my dashboard I have the ability to claim videos that played the same game as me It thinks they’re my videos smh

Long term gaming content creators maybe forced to drastically alter the original footage they capture for gameplay to avoid problems but viewers may not like that

It’s getting wild out here I just got a copyright claim from WMG for a South Park stick of truth video I made in 2014 They claim it’s KSI’s content I usually get these released but it seems like it might get very sticky for gaming creators moving forward

I got nailed with 13 claims in 30 minutes by them this evening. Thing is, they don’t own any of it.

This is probably the result of them adding someone’s gameplay content to their content ID catalogue... Sad times Stay safe out there gamers! It’s getting cold in these streets
