So excited to see our movement growing! It’s growing because it’s working to keep people safe and expand equal justice for all. Congrats to @MultCoMike for becoming Multnomah County’s next DA.https://twitter.com/DAMikeSchmidt/status/1262954165522722816 …

Thank you for all your work. I didn't realize your twitter attracted much of the bowels of the earth's trolls also gravitated to your site. Recognizing humanity in all people is apparently a very far stretch for some.

Apparently Twitter also attracts fake progressives from out of state to opine on how to run San Francisco.

San Francisco stopped being a great place to live more than ten years ago. My guess is none of yall lived there back when I was there in 2002, though, so you wouldn't know what a better SF can look like.

Not to mention my father was born in SF, my grandmother graduated nursing school in SF before serving in WWII, and her grandmother was an educator in Alameda in the 1800s, so yeah, I pay attention to what is happening in SF.

Presumptuous of you to assume that. Not all of us leave a place that we love because it has some flaws. It's easy to posture from far-away and having a history in the city doesn't give you some magical insights into the problems right now.

I left because it was overrun by techie douchebags and it was no longer affordable for me or anyone else that I know. Hundreds of friends of mine no longer live in the bay area.
@chesaboudin is the best thing to happen in a long time.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
But I still have some friends in the area, and yes, I care about the well-being of the city they are still fighting for.

Is Chesa the best thing to happen because somehow he's going to solve affordability problems or because he plans to turn this place into a Disneyland for criminals? If it's the latter it's pretty awful to wish on your former home.

It's amazing that you think the problem with bay area is "techie douchebags" who's sole crime is to legitimately use their skills to earn high salaries instead of drug addicts and dealers who've turned the city into a toilet.

But you know what credit to you for manufacturing this contrived reality.
