Hardly anyone knows about this. If you’ve lost your ID you can still vote by applying for an emergency proxy until 5pm on polling day. Don’t lose your chance to vote the Tories out.

Lost your photo ID? You can apply for an emergency proxy vote until 5pm on polling day. Your proxy will need to show their own ID to cast your vote. Apply now ⬇️ electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/a

I'd presume the Civil Service have policy forbidding WhatsApp for official use. Why aren't there similar rules for ministers and advisors?

Four minutes must feel like an eternity in a serious emergency.

In fact, in December in England, one in ten people calling for an ambulance waited nearly four minutes for call handlers to even pick up the phone. Any way you slice the data, these are the worst times on record. 5/5

In the Commons I’ve just called out the Conservatives’ attempt to gerrymander elections with compulsory voter ID. It’s voter suppression pure and simple. 8,000 people in #plymouth won’t have the right ID to vote in May’s elections. It’s a democratic outrage I refuse to vote for

I guess it's because I occasionally reply to point out his idiocy. But the point of Twitter is you curate the list of people you follow to get quality, interesting content. I don't want the algorithm guessing what I'll like, or at least I want the option to veto suggestions.

This blatantly discriminates against the younger and less well off who are less likely to have a driving licence or passport. There is the option of a PASS (proof of age) card for £15, but the cost and hassle of getting one is still a significant barrier to voting for many.

Long-awaited details of the government’s voter ID scheme have now been released, including details of which IDs will be accepted at the polling station. The list contains plenty of options for older voters, but few for younger voters. electoral-reform.org.uk/voter-id-list-

Just maybe Boris is right, now is not the right time (for him). Best case (for him) is he'd recoup some of the poll deficit but be leading into economically difficult times with a backdrop scandal, Tory division & fed up electorate leading to defeat in 2 years.

"Absolutely. What we will make sure is that over the medium term the debt is falling. But we will do that not by cutting public spending but by making sure we spend public money well." WTF does this even mean, cut debt by spending the same amount of money "well".
