To me, Nina Totenberg has always been more of a socialite than a journalist. This culture must go. No more of this Georgetown shit

The Supreme Court is such a closed ecosystem; only a few reporters have real access to the justices. I think we do gain something from that.

The R Supreme Court justices go on Fox News, go to parties held by Pompeo, etc. but yes, let's talk about conflicts.

Interesting story. Has a similar story EVER been written about how male reporters are friends with powerful people in Washington DC (like presidents, senators, etc)?
-
Many times. Ever hear of Sean Hannity and Donald Trump? And Ben Bradlee wrote an entire book about about his friendship with JFK:https://www.amazon.com/Conversations-Kennedy-Benjamin-C-Bradlee/dp/0393301893 …

Len Downie wasn’t even comfortable voting. All very well to tut-tut about Ben Bradley & JFK now, but the whole male DC press corps colluded in keeping JFK’s dalliances secret.
@NinaTotenberg ‘s reporting has always been excellent. I smell discomfort with powerful women bonding. -
Not clear there was any such collusion. Bradlee, for one, said he was not aware of JFK’s private behavior.
