how soon do you think laptops will run only browsers on the main firmware, ending local storage which is unreliable and empowering cheaper clouds?

I think that won’t happen. But I do think we will see a steady decline to a minimum necessary computer that’ll have just enough of everything but will be quite cheap with multi-day battery life.
