True. amputee actors can't easily get jobs as non amputees and are automatically typecast - but they also can't draw a fucking crowd because they're not famous. Studios don't give a shit about anything but money. That's the reason behind whitewashing and all of this nonsense.

The other problem is – they don't tend to be as good. And you can take this from someone who is seriously disabled and has dealt with actors a lot. Disabled actors tend not to be as good because they don't get to be as experienced. Their disability is carrying 1/3 of the work.
