Just finished recording an awesome podcast with . We got to pick her brain about the deeper issues underlying discussions and decisions around state management & refactoring. How to be intentional about managing complexity and curating team standards?

I'm learning how to remember things I've never learned. By importing data into and working to organize the concepts as tags. e.g. Sprint summaries before I joined the team

There's a great (short!) article about this. It's primarily a UX-design thing, but all of us who build software have a role to play, and a responsibility here. It's worth reading:

Hey all! I am currently on the lookout for a remote Sr JS Engineering role. Part time preferred but would also consider full time with a flexible schedule. RTs appreciated!

I love For centuries this super nice dude has just been humming along giving us laser focused articles teaching 1 thing at a time. I didn’t appreciate the power of that kind of focus until I started trying to teach. Focus is HUGE

I hear there's also no character limit for group messages names. The script for the Bee Movie fits in there nicely.

Trying to clarify this question: I'm not talking about reliability. I mean things like visual polish and edge case handling. makes a good point that performance is part of this, but what about more subjective things that we might otherwise call bugs?

Fighting the algorithm is hard. I’m a people person (double activated Fe 1st). I’ll click on stuff about people. But I hate it and I aggressively don’t want to waste my time on it. I want to focus on tech. But the algorithms just want me to click. So I must fight my own wiring

I've started using my old iPad as a clock. Guided Access lets me switch the Calendar into Kiosk mode and keep the screen on. Then I block out my day into events so I can stay focused and see everything in context. But I can still move stuff around
