Excellent point from @RonaldKlain just now to @NicolleDWallace on @DeadlineWH: “We know [Trump’s] a lousy person, but it does stand out that in 10 years of tax returns, there are zero dollars of itemized contributions to charities in these tax returns. Zero dollars [to charity].”

We know he used the foundation to pay personal expenses, but not (I think, anyway) that he was not donating any income outside the “foundation.”

You can't deduct charitable contributions if you are reporting losses. Not sure the specifics (as in, you paid no tax due to NOLs last year, so can't deduct contributions this year?). No need to report if you can't deduct. If he gave them at all.
