Lots of questions after officers shot and killed a 78-year-old armed man in his apartment here in Bed-Stuy. Police say officers were responding to a report of a robbery at the apartment. They say the man charged at them with a revolver.
. is charging three contractors with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, alleging a series of safety violations and forgeries at a construction site in Norwood that led to the death of a worker in 2019

FDNY says a charging e-bike battery ignited a fire at the front door to this home in Astoria, trapping the family upstairs. A brother and sister died, 7 and 19 years old. Others jumped out a window into neighbors’ arms below.

Officer shot this afternoon is stable, says . It stemmed from an argument over a bus seat. Bus driver flagged down officers who chased the perp. He’s still at large.

The park across from Manhattan Criminal Court is currently a circus of protestors, attention-seekers, and a tsunami of worldwide media. NYPD has set up barricades separating pro- and anti-Trump demonstrators with about a five-foot wide buffer
