Let's talk bike etiquette - what things do other cyclists do that you either really appreciate or drive you nuts? (Working on a blog post...)
How people cycle is mostly up to them but I mostly blinky lights and people who pass you exclusively at lights (and then go slow enough that you have to pass them after the light, but then play the game again). I don't mind if someone passes me at a light and is then faster.

Personally I hate when people use bells or scream when passing me. Rather just pass when safe or use your normal voice to communicate if I'm making it impossible to pass somehow.

(I'm told I'm somewhat odd, maybe it has to do with my hearing disability, but I really dislike "On your X" or bells/horns)

I feel people are inconsistent about this. When I use my bell before passing, some people react as if startled. When I don't use my bell, I've heard a couple irritated remarks from people I'm passing (not ever close).

I recently started doing the "coming up on your right/left" thing bc many citibikers in the bike lane don't always pay the best attention and I ride pretty fast. I try and be polite about it and only do it when passing silently is dangerous but some people still get kinda upset.
