Science is full of prevailing dogmas that in hindsight are incomplete or just plain wrong. But kudos to those that keep fighting and looking for non-mainstream ideas in spite of perceived and real (financial) pressures. History, not a cabal, will be the real judge.

Crazy, that both studies don't mention Apolipoprotein E. The STAT article only says "carried the most common gene for the disease" without naming it.

We may be more sober now about the amyloid hypothesis but try to doubt the evidence for, say, diet or exercise and you'll be dismissed just as quickly. The culture in the field hasn't changed much.
