        There's a difference between the underwhelming effects of interventions meant to stimulate growth mindset, and the effects of truly having a growth vs. fixed mindset.

        Unless he's an academic psychologist, can't really blame him, can you? Of course there's a demand for bad psychology from the public, but in this case, it's not obvious quackery he's falling for. Just bad science, which laypeople can't be expected to recognise as such.
