. introduced a street co-naming in memory of Alissa Kolenovic, who was tragically killed by a truck while crossing the street. Her office has been following up on these intersection safety improvements as well.

During today’s Committee on Parks and Recreation, I introduced five street co-naming requests in memory of those whose lives were cut short. We heard 100+ requests from all five boroughs, and I look forward to seeing their names across our communities, preserving their legacies.

Let's end our week with the racial bias behind NYPD's enforcement of biking-on-the-sidewalk rules. Why are 88 percent of the tickets going to Blacks and Latinos, who make up 50 percent of the population while whites get just 8 percent of the tix?

This is absolutely brilliant, including the whole bit where puts on his ordinary person hat and questions why those who *have* to drive don't run the smallest and cheapest car they can. Worth your attention this one.
