I’m sorry, the city of Philadelphia can’t drop teargas from helicopters on peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters and at the same time protect groups of bat-wielding white men who are assaulting people and not expect us to demand a complete reform of policing in this city.

Philly has been calling “Christopher Columbus Boulevard” Delaware Ave for three decades. No one from Philly is ever gonna call this app “x”.

White people in Philly: If a mural depicting Black people goes up in your neighborhood and your first reaction is to feel that it doesn’t belong there, you are part of the problem. Investigate those feelings, because you are absolutely taking that bias into your daily life.

I really don’t think The City is prepared for how much people rely on that Barnes & Noble Rittenhouse Square public restroom. Is there any plan, or are people just gonna have to rely on the generosity of all the restaurants in Rittenhouse?

Notice how came to Philly and promoted our public art. This is what we’re known for. This is what separates us from every other city in the country/world. The artists in this city deserve so much more support and funding.

Anyone else in Philly feel like the “Avenue of the Arts” should have more...art? More public art, more sculptures and monuments, more murals. It’s really just a glorified highway right now. Someone call me, I know a lot of great artists!

I’m in the today, y’all! 😭❤️ This is surreal. I’m so incredibly honored to have this recognition, but most importantly to do the work I do in this incredible city with the amazing people I have around me. Enormous thanks to @joshuaneed!

I have lived in Philadelphia for 567 years and to this day I have absolutely no idea what lane to be in or what move to make when I am driving up Spring Garden and reach the parkway/ the oval/ the PMA.

I was 16 when I got my job at Old Navy at the Gallery. I worked there for 3 years until I was (lol) fired at 19 for being late... Today, the space reopened as Fashion District, and I curated 10 murals for it. Can't tell you what a surreal moment this is.

OMG: Philly kids have started painting, drawling, and chalking rainbows on and around their homes as a sign of togetherness during our city’s Coronavirus quarantine! ❤️🌈

Imagine walking the streets around NYC’s Madison Square Garden at literally any time of day or night and thinking, ‘Damn, this is JUST what Philly is missing.’ 76 Place is a corny idea being promoted by people who have a lot of money and who stand to earn even more if built.

Imagine Dîner en Blanc but instead of paying $100+ for tickets to sit in a public space, you just make extra food and bring a few extra seats/tables to dine and share with people in Philly experiencing homelessness and families with food insecurity. No dress code required.

1) How is the best solution to give younger Philadelphians even less options for things to do? 2) How is this even enforceable? Bouncers at every entrance checking IDs? A line to get in? 3) Imagine being a 22-year-old not being able to take younger family members shopping. 🤯

See y’all, the City didn’t hold the 26th Precinct and Capt. Fisher accountable for permitting this shit in Fishtown last Monday, now it’s happening again. We need accountability of the PPD NOW.

Several guns, bats and sticks carried by white vigilantes here at Columbus square in South Philly to “protect” the Columbus statue. Police have been visibly quite friendly with this group

Wow, I have literally had more people in front of me waiting for a hoagie at Wawa.

Supporters waiting at a Trump rally in NE Philadelphia to see @RudyGiuliani. The event was originally supposed to have been held at 2300 Arena, a larger space in South Philadelphia. Reportedly the owners of the original space canceled at the last minute @6abc

You can’t make this up, they’re painting the Columbus box at Marconi Plaza the colors of the Italian flag… And they bought the wrong color green.

Imagine running the 5th largest city in the U.S. and being afraid to make one street safer. Like, this is basic stuff. We shouldn't have to fight so hard for common sense. Our next mayor and their administration better be bold, visionary, and actually do shit for the people.

The Schuylkill from the top of the Philly’s skyline. Zoom in, there’s so much to see! Like, where is that nuclear power plant? How did I not know there was one so close to Philly?!

The scars that the current leadership are leaving on that museum make it hard for me to imagine that any living artist or artist foundation would ever want to work with them. They have been so nasty in these negotiations with their workers. Artists won’t forget this.

As a lifelong Philadelphian who’s part Italian American, I would love to look any of those bat-wielding men today at Marconi Plaza in the eye and ask them to tell me three things they know about Christopher Columbus.

I love Philly from the bottom of my heart, but there is nothing I like about walking around this city at rush-hour when as a pedestrian at every intersection you’re met with a car absolutely angry that you exist ready to run you over.

I vote we we replace the Christopher Columbus statue at Marconi Plaza with a statue to Betty White. She has just as much connection to South Philly as Columbus. Plus, she’s a national treasure and not a monster.

So let me get this right: the PMA–whose workers famously went on strike a few months ago garnering international attention–is now a literal doormat for a studio whose workers are currently on strike against them? Who approved this?! Yikes
