I saw reports of the Torridon fire. I don’t think folk appreciate the importance of taking care in really dry weather.

It must have started as I ascended through Coire Basteir. Fro the summit, it was clearly noticeable. Didn’t know you were on Gillean, Hazel. Our paths will cross one day and I insist on a photo!

We will meet one day! Fire started just after 9am because I was sitting in the van having coffee and noticed it coming from an area where folk would camp by the road. Burnt a really big area.

We saw this today! We’d headed up Glen Sligachan to nip up Marsco and there was still a plume of smoke around midday today. Totally agree re: the state of the hills, everything’s so dry.
