    I don’t want a prohibitively expensive wheelchair that climbs stairs. I want: A ramp. A lift. An elevator. Access.

    Thank you for your inquiry at Transportation Committee on process to ensure snow bank removal does not result in blocked sidewalks etc. Let's hope the reply is before spring.

    “Having a disability and still...” “Having a disability yet...” “Having a disability but...” The ableism of this kind of reporting is manifest.

    I have some friends who invite me places & I ask "is it accessible?" & they respond "IDK. You should look it up." I have other friends who invite me places & I ask "is it accessible?" & they respond "I'll check & let you know!" This makes a real difference & means a lot.

    I recently challenged an elected official on the topic of sidewalk snow clearance (suggesting cities should take responsibility for it) and got blocked by them. I wasn't rude or mean. At all. I'm in awe, actually. This is such an unnecessarily contentious issue.

    As a disabled person, you know things are not going well when medical staff identifies you as “wheelchair-bound,” and still asks if you can “stand up” and “hop on” to an examination table that is not accessible.

    Many ppl say they’d love us to make an app that identifies accessible places. Actually, that app already exists, but not by us. allows users to input & find accessible places all over the world. Download it & start entering accessibility info.

    This morning I reconnect but it’s not recognizing it. The wireless symbol is not there. I have tried turning the phone off and back on. I’ve tried disconnecting and unplugging the modem. Same thing. Suggestions? My laptop and ipad connect fine.

    Folks, it’s Kenzie here and I need a bit of technical help with my iphone. I changed mobile providers a few months ago and have since had trouble connecting to wireless networks. The connection often drops and I have to reconnect.

    Don’t ask disabled people how much access is enough access. When disabled people have access to everything that nondisabled people have access to, that will be enough access. Access means access. Not no access. Not less access. Access means access.
