Episcopal priest here. We don't have the amount of money you think we do. Most mainline churches are scraping by and many are closing. Vital services to the poor suffer bc ppl lump us in with the charlatans.

And if they didn't pull in much income, they won't pay any income tax. Seems fair. But also, there needs to be a limit on what is church expense, not "preacher's comfy life" expenses, like mega-mansions, private jets, etc.
