Justifiable self defense on the part of the female employee. The media and all others who are against the notion of women being able to defend themselves in situations thst warrants force is the real issue at hand here and it shows how much more we have to go as a society.

Oh, it's even better than that. This is FLORIDA. If she pulled out a lawfully concealed pistol and SHOT her attacker, she could have claimed Stand Your Ground and the Conservative media would have cheered her. Fight back with fists? You're a thug.https://twitter.com/SUDOUSER7/status/1080907504991854592 …
-
Except she's black and it's the Conservative Media we're talking about here. They would be split at best about defending her in any shape or form.

I would like to posit that the CBS headline would have been different had the McDonald's employee been white.
-
I thought the exact same thing
-
I’d suggest that the man would never have grabbed her if she’d been white.

It also shows the male employees not defending her, apologizing to him and generally being dickless. If a customer would have attacked an employee anywhere I have worked, they would have regretted it and needed a bus, not a squad car.
-
This exactly! Not only did all of her co-workers stand around for like 30 seconds, but no other Good Sams offered her assistance? (But sure as hell stood there filming this).

She did a good job of it, too. Well done, lass.

You think that's bad? Look at the
@FoxNews headline: https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/mcdonalds-brawl-between-employee-and-customer-caught-on-video … Apparently, it was just a brawl... -
Aaaand they're blaming the municipality for having the straw ordinance in the comments.

He didn’t just "grab her shirt". He grabbed her shirt at the throat! She defended herself, well.
-
He grabbed her shirt at the throat and *hauled her bodily halfway over the counter* And he got about half what he deserved. Anyone who wants to fault her for defending herself needs to take several seats.
-
She was the ultimate 'Stand Your Ground' defendant in Florida!

I can’t confirm but according to twitter, she was fired
That manager needs to go. -
I have not heard that. If she had done anything wrong, the police would have arrested her. If she were fired, McDonald's needs to get rid of the manager and hire her back with a very large pay increase. I'm sure she could win a very large lawsuit against them.
-
I've heard this too, but so far from no credible source. If she did get fired, I guess it wld have to be for "over-reacting" (the punching, her language), but there is no such thing as over-reacting when you are a small person being grabbed & dragged towards a much larger person.

She got some good punches in. Shame on everyone else there for not stepping in to help her.
-
I think she was doing a pretty good job by herself. If anybody had stepped in, it would have only been to protect him!

-
I think everybody was a little scared. That young lady has a future in UFC. Get
@DanaWhite on the phone!
