    Today I will be teaching my undergrad course "How to build a brain from scratch" for the 2nd year running. I've put the materials online - include a document with all lecture slides and notes, which is about as long as a decent novel. Enjoy!

    We shouldn't be spending millions on the Expressway. I tabled a motion in Parliament saying residents must be given the option to not go ahead with it in the public consultation. Instead let's invest in sustainable transport infrastructure, including East West Rail and cycling.

    More than 700 signatures this morning! Would be fantastic if there were an extra field where people could indicate if they are members of SfN and/or other national neuroscience societies. (Societies are most sensitive to the opinions of their members).

    >350 neuroscientists have signed this petition so far. Surely there are more who are on board with the message. Then sign it!! The minimum to ask is to calculate & publish publicly the annual CO2 footprint.
