That work easily represents 1+ years of just tools development to make a game like this, not even counting work on the custom game engine required. Don't let anyone tell you that classic #8bit #crpgs are quick and easy to make.

Yeah it's a beast... over 150 "pages" so far, going back to 2012 when I started it. Definitely thinking about releasing it somehow.

good lord, what version of visual studio is this? vc6?

lol, I actually have 3 different VS versions I toggle between, 2003, 2005, and 2017, but to be honest, if I still could be using VC++ 6.0 I would be. That version rocked!
I mainly just use VS as an IDE since I cross-compile via makefiles, etc..
