On physical therapy and to improve QoL; “pALS want more physical therapy”, “those who like activity had higher wellbeing”. So many Qs, top of my list: How do we help pALS remain active for longer? Is having active life same as physical therapy? What works best?

J Statland on HSP and PLS; so good to see patients recognised in research. Our focus for 2020 will to better engage with this “forgotten” population of patients. Slow progressive disorders offer new opportunities for breakthroughs

Genetics, the polygenic spectrum and risk for by - thank you for a great overview. Suspect that Heritability is closer to 40% (not 60%); looking forward to results from much larger studies

On Tofersen in treating SOD ALS; again, it’s too early to say this works but interesting biomarker effects - mild/moderate side effects, CSF SOD ⬇️ @ 100mg, decrease in NfL (...?) ... Phase 3 recruiting (check ) & will hopefully give more answers

Adaptive platform trials - is this the future for ALS/MND clinical trials. Opportunities to improve discovery for treatments - yes. But we should also keep looking for ways to include more in observational in intervention studies.
