Impact = population x per capita consumption x impact per unit of consumption. Why argue one is more important than another?

During that same period that the elephants declined what did our population do? It increased by a 1 billion people who require more space more resources more food more energy more more more.... How much impact did our growth have on that decline?

"Scientists estimate that there were once as many as 1 million forest elephants in Africa, a number that is today a tenth or less of that. Between 2002 and 2011 alone, the species declined by 62 percent."

It ends with P&G tearing down forests to grow palm oil and being directly responsible for the extinction of a orangutan species as well as the death of thousands of other animals. Oh wait that’s not the end. Your still doing it.
