The emergency powers, which will be in place for two years, will enable police and immigration officers across UK to detain anyone with suspected Coronavirus They will be able to detain them for a 'limited period' so they can be screened

The level of care for elderly could be stripped down as pandemic grips Britain Local authorities will be relieved of statutory duty to meet 'assessed needs' It could mean people only receive support with washing and cooking once rather than twice a day

Ministers will be allowed to close ports if there are 'insufficient resources' to maintain border security because too many border staff are sick The Government will be given the power to halt 'any vehicle, train, vessel or aircraft' under the legislation

You don't really know much about how much care they get now then. Neither do they by the sounds of it. Cut it much more and people will just be left.

The lack of regional planning and involvement at local level means people will be left to die in this crisis. Just like Germany in the 1930s crash and subsequent expansion plans. Central control of who lives and dies. Medical profession no choice as decimated already.

Adult social care has already been shredded to buggery over the past decade. This is not going to be pretty.

It has. If it's stripped down anymore it will be basically non existant. Same as everywhere in health and social care. Anyone would think the government don't care about the vulnerable and disabled 🤔
