    Amazing how we can easily come to terms with not being able to read all the books in the world or not being able to listen to every album ever released, and yet we struggle to accept that not every person we meet will like us.

    Instead of watching a movie tonight, I’m going to create a Google Doc spreadsheet with all the movies I want to see, including year of production, country of production, Tomatometer, and probably other columns because I’m actually Rain Man.

    I discovered BØRNS one day before my 25th birthday, while shopping for underwear at MYER. Shazam is a powerful tool. Two-and-a-half months later and I’m watching him tear it up on stage. More energy than Tuesday night can handle.

    Just had to pay a cash fare on a bus for the first time in maybe four years. I told the driver I’d top up my Opal on my phone and immediately show him the complete transaction. The dude wouldn’t have it. Tough crowd.

    I think I’m dressed appropriately to see tonight. Excited to be getting along to a Metro gig for the first time in six months, especially since my last visit was tarnished by events I’d rather forget. Tonight will be untrammelled phantasmagoria. I am here for it.
