    Near JSQ, our largest mural is underway as part of the Jersey City Public Arts Program. The artist is the amazing Mona Caron and you can see her on the scaffold in these pictures to appreciate the scale of what she is doing.

    Really good breakfast w/. We discussed many overlapping issues between NYC/JC from anti terrorism, to cyber security, to JCPD ESU training, to JCPD internal affairs, to bail reform, to homelessness. I couldn’t be more optimistic about possibilities

    Our JC composting program has been a huge success. In the coming weeks, we’re starting a new pick up program for homes throughout the city to further encourage composting. The pick up will happen via bike bc that’s how we do it! Thx + for getting this ready!

    3/3 City Council meeting for the council to consider so that we can make sure that there are ongoing timely inspections in Jersey City and important work governed by condo associations doesn’t slip + endanger residents.

    2/3 Florida, we’ve had residents in several buildings in JC reach out that they know their condo boards were delaying work because of the potential cost to residents. There aren’t many policies in the state to protect here, so we’ll be introducing some locally at the next..

    This is my aunt (my mom’s sister). We had 35 members of our immediate family taken to Auschwitz + 7 survived. This was a nice surprise to see this post from + may all of their memories live forever.

    Here is some info on JC 4th of July Fireworks. We’re back in a big way. We managed to secure Grucci again who is the absolute best on the fireworks front + we have 2 barges that are more spaced out (per Coast Guard) for better visibility throughout JC. Fireworks start at 930pm

    meeting will be a change to the affordable housing requirements in the JSQ 2060 plan (making it stricter 20%) + finally we have the opportunity to buy these 2 major properties in JSQ as opposed to straight market rate housing + I’m pushing that we should maximize this option

    We are still focused on vaccination efforts and can’t let up. Our mobile site w/ is in front of Michael Yun’s store on Central Ave today. So far 25 ppl getting vaccinated today - let’s continue the progress as every person counts.

    this world class museum to Jersey City. Today’s actions by the state in their budget speaks to the importance of this museum to both NJ + beyond w/regards to tourism and economic activity. This project is another big step forward for JSQ + we’re extremely proud of the progress
