    ❌ can’t break the for the sake of saving the 🇪🇺 regulation on the rule of law! As guardian of the treaties, cannot accept ripping them up. When a Regulation is adopted you must work to implement it - not to say in advance that you suspend it !

    Throughout the entire process the Commission has displayed respectful professionalism and shown the added value it and the EU bring to the conduct of transnational affairs

    Negotiations are still ongoing but the end of the transition is near. There is no guarantee that if & when an agreement is found it can enter into force on time. We have to be prepared including for not having a deal in place on 1 January. Today we present contingency measures ⤵️
