Emilio Parrada's 2010 study showed that high fertility of the Bush Housing Bubble years was driven by extremely high fertility among recently arrived Latino immigrants: https://www.unz.com/isteve/the-last-amnesty-in-graphical-form/ … An amnesty would cause another Latino Baby Boom, as happened after 1986. https://twitter.com/WilcoxNMP/status/997222019249909760 …

Parrada's 2010 study of immigrant fertility found that when immigrant Mexican women arrive and feel secure (e.g., after 1986 amnesty or when Bush was pushing amnesty), they think, roughly, "Wow, life in USA > life in Mexico. I can have many more kids than I could afford at home!"

But then after the Latino immigrants have a quick 3 or 4 kids upon arriving in USA, it starts to dawn upon them that kids are vastly more expensive to raise here according to American standards of parenting than back home, so their fertility then falls off.

So the fertility of illegal aliens is extremely high when: - There just was an amnesty or the president is pushing for amnesty - The illegals have just arrived in the US.
