Yeah, look at that brilliant New York Times article today about Raj Chetty's latest paper. The 4 NYT reporters wound up totally misinterpreting the key point, claiming: "Large [racial] income gaps persist between men — but not women." Oh boy ... https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/03/19/upshot/race-class-white-and-black-men.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=photo-spot-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news …https://twitter.com/KelvinClone/status/976015668490285057 …

The fact that RCB rated iSteve higher than S&R rated the New York Times or NPR says more about the quality of the sample and self-selection than it says about your credibility. pic.twitter.com/am91aRySA7

I just finished reading this and called my white woman boss and told her that as a BW, I'm taking a po, oppressed BM's place in the workforce, so I'm quitting and staying home today.

I also think it's funny that you're poo-pooing NYT's credibility when in 2003 you were using it as an example of how credible you are because Nicholas Wade, an NYT science reporter, shared your views.pic.twitter.com/m9YSVMGT2T

You did not address the NYT misinterpretation. Is it true or not?

I haven't looked at it but it's really not the issue here. We're talking about whether or not the Rindermann study is valid or not. It's not whether or not NYT is credible or right. It's what experts think and whether the study accurately reflects that.

All this goes to show that you evaluate evidence based on whether or not it supports your opinion, which says more than any bogus survey ever could about your credibility (or lack thereof.)
