I listen to NPR. They are totally clueless when it comes to this topic.
While I would agree that the state of science journalism in general is bad, I still would trust NPR over the Unz Review or Anatoly Karlin any day of the week.

Rindermann, Becker and Coyle only had 70 fully completed responses, and only something like 40 of those were tenured professors. The rest were adjuncts and grad students. Pretty weak if you're trying to gauge "expert" opinion. Didn't even past muster as a source on Wikipedia.
