Michelle Obama benefited from affirmative action getting into Whitney Young HS, Princeton, Harvard Law School, and Sidley Austin law firm. Then she flunked the Illinois bar exam (passing it on her second try). Then she gave up practicing law.https://twitter.com/Go321D/status/973065254505562113 …

Frankly, Michelle Obama strikes me as an affirmative action baby.

OK. Also, there is a bright side to this--specifically, if a 115 IQ person such as Michelle Obama could pass Harvard Law School, so could I (as a person with a probably similar IQ)! In addition, due to regression to the mean combined with Barack's high IQ, Obama's children ...

Law schools like Harvard are harder to get into but once accepted they're easier than others because they want to keep their numbers up. Most who have gone through law school know this.

Law schools also have summer prep school for incoming black (maybe brown too but I can't remember for sure) 1L students to get them prepared for their 1L year.

Actually, those prep courses are open to anyone. They help people who don't have lawyers in the family and in their social network know what to expect. That's a good thing. Only a troll would find fault with them.

Both types of programs exist. This is even true of top undergraduate programs, in my experience.

It's not enough that you want to be a racist but then you want to oppose anything that addresses racism. Affirmative action for minorities does not mean hiring unqualified people and is not a quota system. The biggest affirmative action is for white males.

Right I wasn't sure which side you were on. But you're right there's a lot of evidence to support the fact that white males benefit the most.

I gave the evidence. Every President except one has been a white male. The vast majority of corporate execs are white males. The GI bill helped many white males who were veterans. The richest people are almost all white males.

Society did Michelle no favors by allowing her to get in way, way over her head. She certainly seems unhappy about it.

Her husband is an intelligent Black, even if I abhor his politics, but the wife has always struck me as rather dull. A White, Jew, or Asian with her intellect wouldn’t have a prayer of being admitted without a very large donation.
