@toad_spotted @Steve_Sailer Something happened around the time hip-hop and rap started to catch on in the 1980s. I think having too many white fans started to become increasingly irritating to black artists, and they became increasingly territorial about their cultural niches.
Then why have Black producers like Timberland, Dr. Dre and T.I. created non White sensations like Justin Timberlake, Eminem and Iggy Azalea over the past decade?
This weird hyper partisan tribalism started with the film 13 years a slave. It’s as if everyone forget that there have been tons of movies supporting African Americans in lead roles over the years. Black Panther is just the latest example
Motown was indeed one of America's greatest contributions to world culture.
Michael Jackson was "black" music tuned to white tastes. The Lion King was a cute animal movie. Uncut "African" or "African-American" culture is kinda lame and gross.
Do you expect maybe to get into Heaven for being a thoughtful, caring black apologist?
