Yes. Definitely some sample bias and Americans did surprisingly little racial mixing compared to the rest of the New World. I have traced most of my genealogy back almost 400 years but it would not surprise me if someone got frisky with a non-white and no one ever said anything.

Ah,
@23andMe loves that "one drop" rule, just like the supporters of Jim Crow laws. That's so#progressive! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

"A lot more whites have a black ancestor than they think" > Brazil is just the same as Switzerland. A liberal logic masterclass.

23andMe results did indicate at least 98 percent northwestern European ancestry for me, as I had expected. Unfortunately 23andMe was not much more precise than that general ancestry.

All my known ancestors are from northeastern USA or Virginia. All my Virginia ancestors were from notable Virginia families with well known genealogies. No black slaves among my Virginia ancestors. Elsewhere maybe one distant Native American Indian woman.

23andMe database is too small (10K) & Lies about the degree of cousins in their genetic matches, making cousins appear closer than actual. For average white American, I can believe link to American Native Indians, but not black. Maybe genes common to both black and white?
