More plausibly, Lindsey Graham is a political dinosaur heading toward the scrap heap with his tried-and-failed grand strategy of Invade the World / Invite the World, while young Stephen Miller represents the intellectual wave of the future on immigration policy.https://twitter.com/alanhe/status/955153178567364610 …

I think you're right.Anton and Miller represent the intellectual wave of today. Ryan Faulk and Jean Francois Gariepy represent the intellectual wave of tomorrow. After we're dead and buried, our progeny will rightfully think that "egalitarian" is as much a slur as racist is today.

Intellectuals have almost no bearing on markets or governments, hence every civilization moving in the same direction: free markets, moderate social spending, liberal values. Even Saudi Arabia.

Sure is Whig history in here. The "liberal Values" found in Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and even HK before the handover was not the same type of "liberal Values" found in the West. They have largely maintained their ethnic homogeneity, often through "illiberal" means.

I hear from Conservatism Inc. and Libertarianism Inc. that vslues, culture, and economics are more important than race. I hold the reverse- those things will have no place to flourish in a Brazilified West.

This is why the intellectuals that carved out the US form of government kept race and ethnicity in mind, and every mostly-European successful nation did so until 1970 or so.

Why do you reckon they relaxed immigration laws? It's economically sensible. 51% of Japanese want more immigration according to 2015 poll, btw.

I wish polls such as these were conducted with greater sample size and a greater nuance in questions. That said, this doesn't seem to comport with that data:
