The NYT's deputy Washington editor reminds fellow journalists that they must stick to the euphemisms on immigration policy.https://twitter.com/jonathanweisman/status/949263876822110208 …

As journalists write about immigration policy, we need to take care not to slip into these loaded phrases. For decades, “chain migration” was known as “family-based migration system,” which allows members of families to sponsor relatives.

IOW: Use dishonest language to camoflage & hide true intent of Democrat agenda. Dems've been controlling language - pollitical correctness - f/40 years to turn the issues against conservatives. Conservatives need to finally learn how to play game & use it against the Dems.

Not sure what it's called in the actual statute(s). In this summary from a legal site... it is only mentioned in the paragraph headers - not the body of actual text. I simply believe the US should be FAR more "picky" regarding whom is let in. Merit based.http://immigration.findlaw.com/visas/family-based-immigration-overview.html …

Chain migration is a pretty neutral, bland phrase. We should make up something better Trickle-to-torrent migration? Probably too long to be catchy, I'm not the best with words.

Chain means one link after another which isn't what we're talking about. Branching migration is better while still being simply a neutral descriptive phrase.
