It would be interesting to find out how many Indians know why Trump calls her Pocahontas

As a law prof, Senator Warren knew quite well that she did not qualify as a Cherokee under the rules of the Cherokee Nation.

Maybe she never met a Cherokee who could explain it to her.

Racial/ethnic identity is like gender identity--whatever you want it to be, at least for prominent leftists.

BTW, your post here reminded me of the elusive search for the Asian blonde. Indeed, maybe gene editing will one day result in genuine--as opposed to fake--Asian blondes.

@caro claims to have found that@SenWarren did not use claim of heritage for#AffirmativeAction preference on applications. One imagines this will matter to Warren's political prospects w@DNC in light of rhetorical#Pocahontas by@POTUS -
Well, there’s no evidence that she listed the heritage claim anywhere other than the Harvard faculty directory after getting hired: https://www.snopes.com/politics/politicians/warren.asp … (BTW, one thing that really is fake about Warren is her hair. Like many women, she is not a natural blonde.)

I'm sure the buriers are burying while the diggers are digging now —https://www.usnews.com/news/the-run/articles/2017-11-28/elizabeth-warrens-pocahontas-pickle …

I totally agree she’ll have to confront it and say whether it’s true or not. 20 years ago there weren’t cheap genetic tests by mail. (My family only recently laid our own heritage rumors to rest.)

#Pocahontas case illustrates why#facts alone are not What Matters:#Trump sees Symbolic Power in highlighting weird-o lib obsession w racial otherness & white guilt. 'Sen Warren: What did you hope to gain by that?' Answer will create more fodder to ridicule Dem#IdentityPolitics
