So, we #Asians #Rule!?!? Huh! Doesn't feel good though. These tests were designed with Typical #White Children of certain age in mind.

They weren't designed with any ethnic group in mind. The sole purpose was to identify academic talent.

In fact, test designers took great care to ensure tests were as "culture fair" (free from bias for or against any ethnic group) as possible.

Well done, but I'm not clear how that says anything about the design of college and grad-school admissions tests.

I predict within 5 years they will stop publishing these stats by race. Statistics are hate facts and repeating them is hate speech.

Pretty much exactly mirrors test scores of ~40 years earlier. Billions spent on schemes to raise "disadvantaged" IQ have made no difference.

There are also cultural effects of being the underclass for so long. Education is stigmatized as "acting white" https://www.unc.edu/courses/2006fall/educ/645/001/Fordham-Ogbu.pdf …

That is a not entirely implausible hypothesis, but I don't find it very convincing. Another hypothesis that is at least as plausible is ~~

I've read the theories of Ogbu and others. They don't reflect reality. They are merely attempts to shore up a dignifying myth of equality.

Reasons: 1) personal experience, noticing how dumb some people are; 2) study: the gap is discernible by the age of two, too early for Obgu.

The gap just becomes more obvious in year-graded classes as the years pass, until it becomes obvious to the children themselves.
