China pays less to WHO than Norway. How did China get so much power over WHO? It's like how did Black Lives Matter get so much influence over college campuses? It's not like they pay a lot of tuition or write a lot of brilliant scientific papers. But BLM just complained more.

BLM were organized and fought for common goals. China, as one of the few states that vigorously pursues a nationalist agenda, is organized and fights for this agenda. The west thinks that the concept of national interests is immoral, hence we don't pursue them.

Also, the West is run by politicians who often prioritize the interests of corporations & businesses ahead of the interests of the people.

Believing in a right to power generates its own power.

Why were there no gay relationships on TV until the 90’s? Because right wingers wrote and complained the minute anything close to that hit the air. Righties were then convinced it was better to be libertarian than conservative, and then lost the culture, which cost them America.

It only takes a "relationship" with one or more individuals with power in the WHO.

But the WHO generally avoids doing anything that will shame disease-producing but prickly, status-conscious countries. They didn't call an emergency over Ebola because some African countries would look bad

China pays less to the WHO *as an organization* than Norway, much less the US. But I'll bet that China puts a lot more money in the personal bank accounts of high WHO officials than Western countries do. We don't believe in that sort of thing; the Chinese lack such scruples.

Norway is getting a raw deal then. They should insist on whale markets.
