This implies that one of Senator Warren's great-great-great-grandmothers was about 1/8th Indian but nobody in her family would ever forget it: "Make sure that Great-Grandma gets sarsaparilla and not corn likker, or she'll go on the warpath, cuz you know how those redskins are."
The U.S. affirmative action system doesn't collapse into farce, the way it is doing in Brazil, because white Americans, with Senator Warren as a conspicuous exception, seldom try hard to exploit its ambiguities. http://takimag.com/article/the_affirmative_action_honor_system_steve_sailer/#axzz5U0CmRafd …pic.twitter.com/3Dq8yElLqh
Genius geneticist Nick Patterson of Harvard's Broad Institute, who was previously the Cold War equivalent of Alan Turing for UK code-cracking, stands up for Senator Warren:pic.twitter.com/rSj6JDKWl2
If race isn't real, why is she doing genetic testing to supposedly determine her racial composition? Isn't this thought crime? So confused.
Except He didn’t test against known NA DNA He proved she may have been part Spanish
Anyone who has any experience with DNA testing and ancestry (a group rapidly growing) can see that this is a post hoc rationalization of her claim
Is race or genetically determined ethnic group membership now real?
Does a noodle salad receipe come with that or nah?
Frybread.
I have more Cherokee blood than she does. In college, I tried to get the US government to treat me as Indian for financial aid purposes. They said I wasn't Indian enough. Nice to see that Harvard has far more lax standards . . . as long as you are not Asian.
Would she even have ancestors in America at that timeframe? That's awhile ago
It doesn't add up unless Euro Injuns!
Hypodescent going back six generations may not make much sense but it is the rule Anglos abide by.
She's a Pretendian of the Wannabee tribe.
Imagine the debate among her operatives as to whether releasing this info would help or hurt her chances for 2020. And they came to the conclusion that yes, this is something that will help her and not lead to ridicule
The issue is if she ever used it to get hired. As far as I can tell, she didn't. If she was just relating a true story about her family heritage, I don't see what the problem is.
She did. That’s how she got her job at Harvard. As far as I can tell you didn’t even look.
and its so thin a claim it cant be prove either way.
“To make up for the dearth of Native American DNA, Bustamante used samples from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia to stand in for Native American.” It gets better. They used groups with massive European ancestry to prove she is native.
